Esco Aster

Esco Aster Pte Ltd is a cGMP CDMO operating as an independent subsidiary of Esco Group of companies. We are providing process development (PD) and contract manufacturing (from upstream to downstream, formulation and filling), consultation, clinical research services bridging the translation gap from bench to bedside.

Our contract formulation, filling, and freeze-drying services are for small batches down to sterility/stability testing, inspection, labelling and cold chain.

Our main platform, Tide Motion Bioreactors, are used for adherent cell bioprocessing for common applications such as

  • Vero/ human diploid cells

  • Other primary derived cells (hepatocytes for human vaccines)

  • CEF (animal vaccines)

  • CHO (recombinant proteins, biobetters, biosimilars e.g. EPO)

We excel in converting bench formulation or compounding batch processes into closed processes within isolators for production of small molecules, biopolymers, and other molecules that can only be produced aseptically as well as continuous manufacturing using flow reactors and continuous granulation lines.

Esco VacciXcell

Esco VacciXcell is the bioprocessing tools microsite for the Esco Group of companies. It includes marketing all Esco bioprocessing tools from laboratory into commercial production as well as 3rd party, alliance, and non-Esco tools utilized within our Tide Motion Platform.

The purpose and intention of this site is to provide information on how our tools are used specifically within the bioprocessing industry, which may differ from our general life science tools that are used across in many applications and basic research.

For instance, a biological safety cabinet (BSC) in a general laboratory setting is used for routine cell handling and manipulation of culture; however, specific to Tide Motion Platform, it is often used for seeding cells and more importantly seeding virus. The primary containment for biosafety within the Tide Motion Platform for virus application is the closed single-use connections. With this, a Class II BSC is needed as secondary containment for BSL 2 viruses or Class III BSC for BSL 3/4 viruses.

Esco VacciXcell has a distribution arm that distributes tools that have been invested by Esco Ventures primarily within ASEAN/ANZ.

Distributors appointed on our Tide Motion Bioreactors and related consumables will place purchase orders to Esco Aster Pte Ltd.
