Research Officer/Assistant (Downstream Processing)
The Esco Aster Centre of Excellence in Bioprocessing at BTI-A-Star is looking to hire two research assistants to conduct laboratory work supporting the development of cell and gene therapy production processes. In addition to large-scale upstream production, Esco Aster COE@BTI develop downstream purification and analytical methods for the characterization and lot release of cell and gene therapy products.
Training in the handling of vector containing supernatant and processing of therapeutic scale material will be given. The facility will be equipped with a floor to ceiling enclosed BSL2 Biosafety Cabinet for process-scale chromatography.
Assisting with all experiments and data analysis required in the project;
Assisting in lab duties and administrative work including procurement, record keeping, maintenance etc.
A Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or related disciplines
At least 2 years working experience in a life-sciences or related laboratory
Experienced in protein and molecular analyses, e.g. Western blot, qPCR, flow cytometry
AKTA purification experience highly desirable
Mammalian cell culture experience is desirable
Successful candidates should be self-starters, mature, have good communication skills and work well in a dynamic team environment.
