Biotech innovation does not suffer from a shortage of science. It suffers from fragmentation.
Promising technologies often remain trapped between academia and industry because founders lack the combination of venture expertise, capital, development infrastructure, regulatory capabilities, cGMP biomanufacturing which is capex intensive, and clinical as well as commercial networks required to transform scientific breakthroughs into investable companies.
At the same time, conventional biotech venture building is capital intensive. Startups often gravitate to expensive infrastructure/capex which dilutes investors leading to lower rate of return of investment causing a negative effect since they view biotech investment as not as lucrative as other sectors.
Startups often also hire specialized full-time C-Suite increasing burn rate when seed capital is already scarce, and establish capabilities long before they have achieved sufficient technical or commercial validation.
MetaMorphosis was built to solve this problem.
